Welcome, I’m Leah

I am a registered clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. From a young age, I struggled with anxiety and depression and experienced the debilitating weight of carrying these painful emotions. As I went through my own counselling and personal healing journey, I gained new insights and skills that enabled me to break out of patterns of fear and depression and embark on the path of self-love and inner peace.

Over the years, I found myself drawn to being a listening ear for others going through their own painful journeys and I felt a calling towards this profession. I believe that counselling is meant to be a transformative experience and that there is always hope for positive change, even amidst darkness and despair. I love supporting my clients to blossom and grow to their fullest potential and to achieve their personal goals for counselling.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, playing with my dog, spending time with my nineteen year old son and my nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives.

My Services

My primary focus is on providing individual counselling services to adults ages 20 plus.

I strive to provide counselling services that are inclusive, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and culturally responsive.

As a counsellor, I am committed to on-going learning and professional development so that I can best meet the needs of my clients.

My approach to counselling is not cookie cutter. I prioritize tailoring treatment to the individual needs and preferences of my clients.

Your feedback and preferences are always welcome.

Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self.”

– Debbie Ford
