Welcome, I’m Leah

I am a registered clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I was born here in beautiful British Columbia and I am of mixed cultural heritage, coming from Punjabi and German Mennonite ancestry. My pronouns are she/her and I am honored to work on this land - on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. Having gone through my own personal healing journey, I know and appreciate what it feels like to be in the client chair.

I believe that counselling is meant to be a transformative experience and that there is always hope for positive change, even amidst darkness and despair. I love supporting my clients to blossom, gain new insights, make positive changes in their lives, and move towards their fullest potential as individuals.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, watching movies or television series, attending concerts, walking and playing with my ten year old dog Bowser, and meeting with friends and family.

My Services

My primary focus is on providing individual counselling services to adults ages 20 plus.

I strive to provide counselling services that are inclusive, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and culturally responsive.

I welcome people of all cultures, genders, and sexual orientations and aim to create a safe, warm, and welcoming place for all of my clients.

As a counsellor, I am committed to on-going learning, mentoring, and professional development so that I can best meet the needs of my clients.

I prioritize tailoring treatment to the individual needs and preferences of my clients.

Your feedback and preferences are always welcome.

Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honor the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self.”

– Debbie Ford
